Notice that the price of a partridge in a pear tree increased from $27.50 to $45.00. The cost of the partridge ($15) did not change. The price of the pear tree at the nursery PNC contacted went from $15.00 to $30.00 in just one year! (The variety of pear tree that has been on sale at half price for several years is no longer available.)
