Director of Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence CCICADA: Command, Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis.

The Center was founded as a DHS Center of Excellence for Command, Control, and Interoperability in 2009 and is a consortium of Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, AT & T Labs- Research, Carnegie Mellon, The City College of New York, Geosemble Technologies, Howard University, Morgan State University, Princeton University, Regal Decision Systems, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rutgers University (Lead Institution), Telcordia Technologies, Texas Southern University, Tuskegee University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Massachusetts-Lowell, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), University of Southern California.

DIMACS was founded as an NSF "science and technology center" in 1988 and is a consortium of Rutgers and Princeton Universities, AT&T Labs, Bell Labs (Lucent Technologies), Cancer Institute of NJ, NEC Laboratories America and Telcordia Technologies. Affiliate Members: Avaya Labs, Georgia Institute of Technology, HP Labs, IBM Research, Microsoft Research, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Stevens Institute of Technology. I was Acting Director in 1991 and again in 1992-93 and then Director from January 1996 to August 2011.
