Introduction to Metaheuristics
The discussion will place a primary focus on Tabu Search, from the standpoint of adaptive memory methods, and on Scatter Search and Path Relinking, from the standpoint of evolutionary methods. Comparisons and contrasts with Genetic Algorithms and other approaches will be included.

Introduction to OptQuest
Demonstrations of real world applications will be highlighted, especially those applications that involve significant elements of uncertainty and nonlinearity, including discreteness.
