DIMACS Workshop on Combinatorial Group Testing

May 17 - 19, 2006
DIMACS Center, CoRE Building, Rutgers University

Organizers:
Ding-zhu Du, University of Texas, dzdu@utdallas.edu
Frank Hwang, Chiatong University, fhwang@math.nctu.edu.tw
Presented under the auspices of the Special Focus on Computational and Mathematical Epidemiology.

Call for Participation:

This workshop is organized for the study on theory of group testing and applications, especially applications in biology and medical science. Therefore, organizers are interested in a wide variety of contributed papers involving topics such as combinatorial pooling designs, decoding algorithms, probabilistic analysis methods, random designs, as well as new models from epidemiological and molecular biological applications. There will be ample opportunity for informal discussions and the exploration of new research ideas. Proposals for contributed talks should be directed to dzdu@utdallas.edu. Contributed papers should include a title as well as a short abstract. All submissions will be acknowledged no later than April 15, 2006.

A book in the DIMACS series will be edited for this workshop as well as a special issue of Journal of Combinatorial Optimization. Participants are encouraged to submit their articles to book/special-issue at dzdu@utdallas.edu before June 1, 2006.
