Four parts to the application:
1. an up-to-date CV or resume
2. A statement of interest and commitment(uploaded through the website, .pdf and .doc files only). You may skip this step if you submit an abstract of a paper you would like to present-see separate application.
3. A statement of recent work. You may skip this step if you submit an abstract of a paper you would like to present-see separate application.

2. Upload of applicant statement of interest and commitment:

Here is your opportunity to demonstrate why you should be chosen to participate in the Workshop on Natural Disasters. Submit a statement of interest and commitment explaining why you are interested in attending the workshop. The statement should speak to the workshop theme (Natural Disasters) and address the following questions: Explain your background, interests, motivations, and plans for the future. How do you hope to contribute to MPE issues in the future? What do you hope to get out of participation in this workshop? How do you hope to contribute to the workshop as a participant?
If you would prefer, it is sufficient to submit an abstract for a talk to present at the workshop. In that case, you may simply say you are submitting an abstract for a talk at the workshop.

3. Upload an abstract of related research:

Submit an abstract of something on which you have been working that is related to the workshop theme. If you would prefer, it is sufficient to submit an abstract for a talk to present at the workshop. In that case, you may simply say you are submitting an abstract for a talk at the workshop. However, you may submit an abstract and add additional relevant information here. If your recent work is not related to the Workshop theme or if you have no abstract, then submitting your brief statement explaining why you are interested in attending above is sufficient. You may leave this portion blank.

4. Optional application for financial support:

If you would like to be considered for financial support, submit a statement of your needs and the resources you have available to attend. Priority will be given to Early Career applicants. Early Career Applicants are defined as graduate students, postdocs or faculty or researchers who have earned their doctorate within the previous three years.
