Combinatorial Methods in Oriented Percolation
In this expositoray talk, aimed at a general mathematical audience,
we shall review
some of the basic results in percolation theory, with emphasis on the critical
probability of oriented bond percolation. We shall describe a number of recent
results of Balister, Stacey, Liggett and others, obtained by combinatorial
methods.
