Princeton-Rutgers Seminar Series in Communications and Information Theory

Chris Rose and Sergio Verdú, Co-Chairs

Title: Some Asymptotic Results in Wireless Networks

Speaker: Babak Hassibi, Department of Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology

Date: Thursday March 6, 2003 4:30-5:30 pm

Location: Princeton University, at Friend 006

We study how various performance measures scale in wireless networks as the number of users in the network increases. In particular, we will focus on how capacity scales in multiple-antenna wireless broadcast channels with partial channel-state-information, and how power-efficiency scales in sensory and ad-hoc wireless networks.

Seminar Sponsored by DIMACS Special Focus on Computational Information Theory and Coding.
