Abstract:
We will describe some simplified models of the spread and control of disease through social networks, using the tools of graph theory, and use the models to discuss strategies for vaccination, quarantine, etc. for defense against bioterrorist attacks. The talk will emphasize development of simple concepts, describe some preliminary results, and lay out some research challenges.
