Title: Kalantari's bounds on zeros are asymptotically tight

Speaker: Yi Jin, Rutgers University

Date: February 10, 2005 4:30-5:30pm

Location: Hill Center, Room 705, Rutgers University, Busch Campus, Piscataway, NJ

Abstract:

In this talk, we give a simple interpretation of a family of bounds on moduli of zeros of complex polynomials derived by Kalantari. This gives rise to efficient algorithms to compute these bounds and leads to a proof of this family's asymptotic sharpness.
