Title: New Measurement for the Clustering in Real Networks

Speaker: Sara Soffer, Rutgers University

Date: April 14, 2005 4:30-5:30pm

Location: Hill Center, Room 705, Rutgers University, Busch Campus, Piscataway, NJ

Abstract:

Real networks are graphs that describe the "real world". Being very different from the usual Erdos-Renyi random graphs, they inspire a new "graph theory". In the talk, I will survey the main properties of real networks and present a new measurement for the clustering coefficient, with an algorithm to find it.
