Title: Parallels between classes of permutations

We discuss some different combinatorial ways in which two classes of permutations might resemble each other. We'll focus on parallels between involutions in the symmetric group and the symmetric group as a whole, in particular parallels related to pattern avoidance. We'll also suggest some related interesting questions.
