Abstract:

Based on a 1995 paper by Prof. Richard Stanley at MIT, this talk will define a graph property based upon the idea of the chromatic polynomial, expanded to the field of multiple-input symmetric polynomials, and look into some of the properties of this polynomial. In particular, I will use this polynomial to look into characteristics of a graph based on its sink sequence.
