DIMACS - Hungarian Mathematics Partnership

DIMACS has a partnership with several Hungarian Mathematical Sciences Institutes: the Alfred Renyi Institute of Mathematics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest and the Erdos Institute of the Janos Bolyai Mathematical Society. This partnership involves:

  • Workshop and Summer School on Random Walks, July 13 - 24, 1998, Bolyai College, Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary. Organized by Pal Revesz and Balint Toth.

  • Workshop on Paul Erdos and his Mathematics, July 4 - 11, 1999, Budapest, Hungary. Co-sponsored by The Hungarian Foundation for Scientific Research (OTKA), The International Mathematical Union, and The Soros Foundation. Organized by V.T. Sos (Committee Chair), A. • DIMACS/DIMATIA/Renyi Tripartite Partnership

  Three leading research centers, DIMACS in Piscataway, NJ, DIMATIA in Prague, and Renyi in Budapest, have joined in a tripartite project involving three research working groups.
