Hi everybody! Hope all is well with you. My school is in need of some
ideas--here is the situation.....
I am a member of Southern Regional's math curriculum review committee. We
have just begun our five year cycle and are at a phase of brainstorming.
This coming fall we will be going out and visiting schools within NJ,
eastern PA and DE. At a recent meeting, we were asked to contact fellow
math teachers and ask if they knew of any innovative programs in their
school. Anywhere from the AP level to the basic skills classes. We feel
we do a pretty good job with the AP level kid but would like to do better
with the middle kid and the kid going to work upon graduation. For
instance, my supervisor just heard of a NJ school that teaches AP prob/stat
to sophomores so as to not draw on the AP calc population.
Also, if anyone knows of any textbook they love, we are looking into these
for all of our classes.
Thanks in advance for you feedback.
