Generalized Traffic Equations
Author: Michael Tortorella
ABSTRACT
This paper considers the problem of computing certain performance parameters of stochastic networks that have Markovian routing but are not otherwise Jackson networks. A scheme using this model for approximating address-based routing is described.
The method relies on generalizing the traffic equation to special subsets of the flows in the network.
KEY WORDS: Latency, jitter, routing, path-additivity.
