This special focus is jointly sponsored by the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS), the Biological, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences Interfaces Institute for Quantitative Biology (BioMaPS), and the Rutgers Center for Molecular Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry (MB Center).

The Data Analysis Working Group (DAWG) of the Consortium for the Barcode of Life (CBOL) will hold the Second International Barcode of Life Conference at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan, during the week of 17-21 September 2007. DATA ANALYSIS SESSION: TRAVEL EXPENSES PAID FOR BEST ABSTRACTS

The first morning session on the second day of the Conference (Wednesday, 19 September) will be devoted to data analysis. Five submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during this session. In addition, some number of abstracts will be accepted for presentation as posters. The travel expenses will be paid for anyone whose abstract has been selected for either an oral or poster presentation. You will find the online form for submitting abstracts on the conference website.

$5000 PRIZE OFFERED BY CBOL

CBOL is also offering a cash prize of US $5,000 for the best new software for the display and visualization of barcode data.

Additional information about the Taipei conference will be posted in the near future. This information will include further instructions on how to apply for the data visualization prize.
