• Program
  Lunches and Friday night banquet are provided free only to those who have registered before May 10, 2002.

  5/27-29 tour to Kenting National Park can be booked only by sending an advanced payment of $300 USD (check addressed to Frank Hwang) before May 10, 2002. Local participants pay NTD 9990.

• Registration
  There are no fees for this workshop. Pre-registration will be held on the DIMACS site.
  
  
• Housing:
  Campus guest rooms are available at the following prices:
  Single: 800 NTD (34 NTD to $1)
  Couple: 1,000 NTD (34 NTD to $1)
  
  The number of rooms is limited. Those who are interested should email Ms. Chen (chenii@cc.nctu.edu.tw) and give her information about the dates and type of room. Outside hotels cost about 3,000 NTD per room and are a 20 minute walk to the conference site. Please email Ms. Chen is you would like suggestions for hotels.

• Directions:
  Participants should use the Taipei airport. The conference site is about an hour from there.

• Post-Conference Tour:
  People who are interested in a post-conference 3-day tour should also email Ms. Chen (chenii@cc.nctu.edu.tw) and indicate the number of people in the party.

  Dates: 5/27-5/29
  Destination: Kentin National Park at the southern tip of Taiwan
  Expense: 9,900 NTD for each person (two a room)
  Trasnsportation: Luxurious tour trains to get there (leaving from and back to Hsinchu); tour bus for local trips.
  Inclusive: All meals, two nights at Kentin Caesar Hotel (4-star) and all guided trips.
  Reservation: Please mail $275 if you want double-occupancy and $325 for single occupancy (addressed to Frank Hwang). Send to F.K.Hwang, Depatment of Applied Mathematics, National Chiaotung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan.

  There is a second 3-day (any 3 days) tour going to the Tairuko national park. But the trip starts at the Taipei railroad station at 7AM (any three days). If you are interested in that trip too, contact Frank Hwang for further information.

  *Foreigners have to send Frank Hwang (fhwang@math.nctu.edu.tw) their passport numbers for booking the train tour.

• Important Reimbursement Information

  Attendees who have been offered support through DIMACS should keep two rules in mind. Reimbursement for air travel can only be made for travel on US Flag Carriers, REGARDLESS OF COST. (For example, travel on airlines such as United, Continental, USAir, and others that are United States based are allowable. Travel on airlines such as Lufthansa, SAS, Air Canada and other airlines based outside the US cannot be reimbursed by DIMACS.)

  The second rule to keep in mind is to get original receipts for all reimbursable expenses.

  Those who have been offered reimbursement through National Chiao Tung University should send the back copy of their airplane ticket together with receipt from travel agency (if available) to Frank Hwang. The rules for US carriers do not apply in this case.
