• Application for Financial Support for Early Career Applicants to Attend
  Early Career Researchers are defined as faculty or researchers who have earned their doctorate within the previous three years, postdocs, graduate students, and upper-level undergraduates with research experience. Early career researchers interested in applying for financial support to attend the workshop should click on the 'Application for Financial Support...' link above and submit the requested materials. Applicants should also complete a registration form by clicking on the 'Registration Form' link below. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2013 and will continue until all slots are filled. Applicants accepted for financial support will be contacted with additional instructions on registration at that time.

  Participation in this workshop is invitation only, although if you would like to attend, please email Bidisha Nag at mpe2013p@dimacs.rutgers.edu. This workshop will consist of invited speakers and many early career researchers interested in learning about the topics of the Special DIMACS Program: Mathematics of Planet Earth 2013+ (http://dimacs.rutgers.edu/Workshops/index-mpe.html). There may be room to invite additional participants interested in attending the workshop. You may also request an invitation to participate by completing the registration form by clicking on the link above (for "Attendee Type" on the registration form, selecting "Applying for an Invitation" from the pull down menu). Applications will be reviewed by the committee. Applicants will be notified as soon as possible if they have been selected to receive an invitation.

  If an invitation is issued to a participant who has not received financial support, instructions on how to pay registration fees will be given at that time. Please contact Dr. Eugene Fiorini at mpe2013plus (at) dimacs.rutgers.edu if you have questions.

  The registration fee is payable by credit card or e-check through ScholarChip. When the registration page is completed, clicking "Submit" will redirect the registrant to the ScholarChip webpage which will collect the payment information.

  Registration fees include participation in the workshop, all workshop materials, breakfast, lunch, breaks and any scheduled social events (if applicable).

  * Early Career Participant is defined as a faculty member whose doctorate was completed within the last three years, postdoc, graduate student or undergraduate student. Early Career registrants are encouraged to apply for a travel scholarship at Application for Financial Support for Early Career Applicants to Attend. Travel scholarship applications will be accepted until all slots are filled. Applicants will be notified of their status by the travel scholarship committee.

• Information on Travel Arrangements

• Parking Permit

  Parking permits will be available at the registration table on the day of the workshop.

  Please park in lot 64 located between the CoRE Building and the Werblin Recreation Center.

• Important Reimbursement Information

  Attendees who have been offered support should keep two rules in mind. Reimbursement for air travel can only be made for travel on US Flag Carriers, REGARDLESS OF COST. (For example, travel on airlines such as United, Continental, USAir, and others that are United States based are allowable. Travel on airlines such as Lufthansa, SAS, Air Canada and other airlines based outside the US cannot be reimbursed by DIMACS.)

  The second rule to keep in mind is to get original receipts for all reimbursable expenses.

• If you're coming from abroad, check the latest visa requirements (they are changing all the time) and get an early start on obtaining a visa.
