DIMACS 2006 High School Student Research Conference

April 22, 2006
DIMACS Center, CoRE Bldg, Rutgers University

Organizers:
Fred S. Roberts, DIMACS, Rutgers University, froberts@dimacs.rutgers.edu

The DIMACS High School Student Research Conference started in Spring 2001 when 65 students and teachers from as far away as Alaska made presentations about their research projects that stemmed from the DIMACS Connect Institute (DCI) program. Since that time, students have made exciting presentations about projects of all kinds to an appreciative audience of other students, teachers, DIMACS faculty members, and parents. The presentations have varied from powerpoint to posters to overhead transparencies, or combinations of these, and are often made by groups of students. Many of the presentations are by students who have never had the opportunity to present their work in such a forum and the quality of the presentations has been uniformly high.

The conference is a real opportunity to meet your peers from other schools, hear about interesting work that they are doing or have learned about, and show off what you have done.
