Monte Vista High School in Danville CA needs a full time computer teacher
now. Classes start in two weeks and we would appreciate you all passing
the word around.

The classes to be taught are computer applications, beginning programming,
and Internet. There might be some flexibility in the programming.

The school has an approximate population of 1900 students and is located
in an upper socio-economic area with students attending from the towns of
Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville, Diablo, and Walnut Creek. MVHS is located two
miles east of 680 at 3131 Stone Valley Road. MVHS is a California
Distinguished school and the new computer teacher will not have any
discipline problems. Students taking these classes are motivated.

There are four PC computer labs with Pentiums and 486 systems for the
computer classes. The school is just completing a full LAN linking all
fifteen buildings. We have a T1 connection to the Internet. MVHS is a
three time winner of the Supercomputer SuperQuest competition from the
National Science Foundation and also has seven UNIX systems in the
computer lab the new teacher will be using part of the day.

If you have an interest in this position or know of someone who could
teach these classes, please email rkrane@srvusd.k12.ca.us as soon as
possible. The school has already cancelled three AutoCad classes for lack
of a teacher. Thanks.
