FARALLON EDUCATION INTERNET CHALLENGE GRANT PROGRAM

SCOPE: Farallon Communications Inc., PSINet Inc. and SurfWatch Software
Inc. are sponsoring a grant program to assist schools interested in
implementing Internet education in the classroom.

DEADLINE: Nov. 10

FUNDS: Five grants of $7,500 worth of Internet-related equipment,
including Farllon's Netopia Internet Router, Internet support programs,
Internet software, one year of PSINet's LANISDN service, license packs of
SurfWatch Internet blocking software, and $100 worth of
Osbourne/McGraw-Hill Internet books.

ELIGIBILITY: Elementary and secondary schools. Farallon will select a
winner from each of the five regions represented - West, Midwest, South,
Northeast and Canada.

AREAS: Proposals should spell out plans to use the Internet in the
classroom during the 1997-1998 school year. Creativity of ideas and the
appropriateness of the ideas to the level of students being taught will be
more important than the quantity of ideas proposed.
