APPLE COMPUTER INC. is giving something back to the schools if parents buy
their computers and printers for their children. The promotion, called
Cool Cash Back + Cool Tools for Schools gives parents a cash rebate as
well as the chance to earn points for their school to buy Apple hardware
and software products. Parents who buy Apple Macintosh Performa computers,
Apple printers and peripherals through Oct.6 can earn their local school
anywhere from 50 to 300 points.

Schools then redeem the points for education software (50 points) ,
Internet connection kits (200 points), Apple presentation systems (450
points), Apple MessagePads (2000 points) or Apple Color Laserwriter
printers (4500 points ).
