Reconnecting Two Year College Faculty
to the Mathematical Sciences Enterprise

May 22-23 and October 23-24, 1999

DIMACS is presenting a series of two two-day workshops geared towards introducing two-year college faculty to discrete mathematics and to some current research topics relevant to the classroom. These workshops will reconnect faculty to the mathematical sciences enterprise by involving them in a leading research center which is consortium of Rutgers University, Princeton University, AT&T Labs, Bell Labs, Telcordia Technologies (formerly Bellcore) and NEC Research.

What is the Program?
Get a taste of what discrete mathematics is all about, learn about its many applications, and learn how you can use contemporary topics in your classrooms. Come for two days of introductory talks, work on curricular materials back at home, and return for a weekend about six months later. Get connected to DIMACS researchers and other DIMACS programs throughout the year.

At the DIMACS Headquarters at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Meals and lodging will be provided.
