Organization of The FANS Project

The FANS Project (Families Achieving the New Standards in Math, Science and Technology Education) is a three-year parent outreach project sponsored by the New Jersey Mathematics Coalition.

The FANS Project is funded by the National Science Foundation; additional major funds have been provided by the AT&T Foundation.

The co-Directors of The FANS Project are Joseph G. Rosenstein and Warren D. Crown.

They direct the project with the regular advice and assistance of a Management Committee.

A number of state-wide constituency-based organizations are Partners of The FANS Project; they support and encourage participation in the project by informing their constituent organizations about, and encouraging their participation in The FANS Project.

The Steering Committee consists largely of representatives of the Partner organizations and it provides a forum for discussion of major issues that arise in The FANS Project.

Regional Coordinators help generate workshops and arrange for trained workshop leaders to conduct the workshops; please contact the appropriate Regional Coordinator to help arrange a workshop within your county.
