Imaginary Girlfriend Dumped Chris Hunt has dumped his fictional girlfriend, citing the difficulties of maintaining a long distance relationship, and drifting apart. No mention was made of the fact that she didn't exist. He exaplained to bored fellow students in his Rootes kitchen that he was distraught over the made-up break-up, but was also looking forward to launching himself on the dating scene. His kitchenmates had already concluded that the girlfriend was an invention so poorly fleshed out that she was never even given a name. They attempted to remain impassive as Chris listed implausible details of a phone conversation terminating the non-relationship. He said that after breaking up he had been unable to sleep, and had cried all night, despite appearing unpeterurbed at Decadance, and having been heard snoring soundly from 2am. The false girlfriend, whom Hunt has been pretending to go out with since coming to Warwick, was said to have comitted a minor indiscretion with an equally fictional other man at Bristol, the university she does not attend, in order to make Hunt's decision appear less callous. It is believed that she was created to make Hunt look more mature, and that he hopes the painful "split" will earn him sympathy from potential girlfriends. Thus far the latest development in Hunt's fantasy life has mainly earned him derision rather than adoration.
