You are right that the Makefile and README disagree about informing users
about LIBDIR. The Makefile is right; I will fix the README.

I compiled the binary on RedHat (2.0.27), and I'm a little surprised it
didn't work for your Slackware 2.0.29. The same source that produced
that binary produced working binaries for SunOS, Solaris.

I am curious about your STk problems - I have never had a problem as I've
progressed up to Linux 2.0.27. Are you configuring with the specified
options (--enable-hash --enable-stklos --disable-dynload --disable-dld
--disable-elf)? Sometimes it is necessary to include --disable-pixmap as
well.

Anyway, my apologies that the binary didn't work as promised. I would
appreciate it if you would compile the source and see if it still bombs.

Jon

p.s. Would you please check something out for me (and reply to me
individually)? I need to know if Slackware 3.2 has the 3c905 ethernet
driver. Can you look in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and let me know?
