about link libraries

Hello,
I am working on Link. Can somebody tell me how to get link libraries (via
ftp). This libraries may contain tons of objects/head files, but my present
system situation(disk space) can't allow me get all of them.
I just want a few of them for the purpose of "warming up". Is it possible?
