  • Abstract:

The study of the distribution of statistics over the symmetric group is nearly a century old and has given us a lot of elegant theorems and beautiful bijections. These distributions enjoy a lot of exciting properties such as log-concavity, gamma-positivity, real rootedness etc. In this talk, we will look at a variety of enumeration results for the subset of even permutations and make a case for the study of statistics over them.
