  • Abstract:

    This week, Professor Ian Jauslin will briefly discuss olean files. Then Professor Alex Kontorovich will continue the discussion from last week about Euclid's fifth book. In particular, we will discuss what Euclid achieves in this book, why/how he proves these theorems, as well as some strategies for formalizing his theorems. Once we are familiar with this book, seminar participants will split into groups in order to formalize the remaining pieces.
