- Abstract:
In this talk, we will talk about the concepts and properties of parking functions, the bijection between parking functions and rooted labelled forests, and the area statistic of parking functions. With the experimental and finitistic method, the expectation, variance and higher moments of the area statistic of the parking functions can be derived. They can also be expressed as a polynomial of the expectation and the length n. Their limiting distribution will be discussed as well.
