  • Abstract:

    I will talk about how to define the dimension of a poset and some results on dimensions of various posets. The main focus will be on "layers of the hypercube": suborders of the poset on subsets of [n] ordered by inclusion where we restrict to sets with certain sizes.

    Background: I'll define everything (starting from what is a poset). Some of the talk might feel more natural if you're familiar with the probabilistic method, but all of it should be understandable regardless.
