Guest speaker: Dr. Mitch Erickson, Department of Homeland Security, retired.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Erickson served 10 years as director of Environmental Measurements Lab (now NUSTL) and led the transition of the lab from DOE into DHS when DHS was created. He then served as Science Advisor to DHS Science and Technology for 10 years, where he established and advanced the technology scouting and horizon scanning capabilities for DHS before retiring late 2018 with 22 years of Federal service. Dr. Erickson is a “futurist” who studies new technologies, their potential for security and other applications.). This should be a very interesting session.
