Call for Participation:

Until recently, auction theory largely assumed a world without transaction costs. This is now changing, and the change is having dramatic effects on auction theory. This workshop is intended to bring together researchers from various fields interested in contributing to auction theory that deals explicitly with transaction costs. Fields of interest include, economics, operations research, marketing, sociology and computer science. The topics of interest include all of the usual topics of auction theory, but in the presence of transaction costs in both simple and combinatorial auctions. This might include the following kinds of costs faced by bidders:

Participants may want to present papers, participate in discussions, or just listen. Those wishing to present papers should provide by January 30, 2007 a title, abstract, and, if possible, a full paper. This can be done electronically to rothkopf@rutcor.rutgers.edu or by mail to:
