Activities During the first week of the summer of 2003, teachers will participate in a Graph Theory course emphasizing applications. There will also be workshops for researchers and all-institute activities, focused on issues of interest to both teachers and researchers. All participants will work with software relevant to discrete mathematics. Teachers will be introduced to the process of Mathematical research through a "First Research Experience". During the following 2 weeks of the summer of 2003, teams of teachers and mentors will collaborate on research projects and develop classroom materials. These activities will continue for an optional two weeks during the summer of 2004. During the 2003-2004 academic year, there will be classroom visits by mentors and/or participants. Each participant and student(s) will report on classroom activities at a conference in April/May 2004.
