THIS IS A COPY OF A NOTE SENT TO THE ADVANCED PLACEMENT STATISTICS LISTSERVE...
=======================================

Hi group...

I greatly appreciate the comments and constructive criticisms I have received on Herkimer's Hideaway.

http://www.cate.org/sms99/hmpsms.htm

Over the past weekend, I completed my last section summary on The Practice of Statistics, by Yates, Moore, McCabe. The Hideaway
now contains summaries through section 14.1, which I believe cover all of the topics on the AP Statistics syllabus.

I will continue to add to the Hideaway throughout the year. My students in both statistics and algebra II get assignments from
this site. I will be adding pictures of students demonstrating statistical concepts, similar to those shown for sections 1.1
and 1.2.... and, I will continue to add assignments. I will also add more writings.

I note that some of the recent inquiries on the ListServe ask about pace. Some have indicated that they are already in Chapter
5 of the Yates, Moore, McCabe text. At Cate, we are just completing Chapter 3. We have a relatively short school year in
terms of class days. This presents a bit of a problem when it comes to getting through the AP syllabus. This is one of the
reasons I began the project of constructing the Hideaway. That is, to help Cate students get through all of the syllabus
material in time for the AP exam in May. Those of you in Chapter 5 are in good shape, at least according to the perspective I
have.

I fully realize that the summaries of the YMM text sections in the Hideaway are far from perfect. I'm sure that there are
spelling errors, grammatical errors, and probably some statistical misstatements in the present form of the Hideaway. If you
find any of these things, I would appreciate learning about them.

I thoroughly enjoy the AP Stat. ListServe and have gained much from looking into this source on a daily basis. My thanks to
those of you who have been active both in the form of questioning and in providing knowledge and advice. In this spirit, I
hope Herkimer's Hideaway can be of some help to those of you who may be new to AP Stat.

MATH POWER TO ALL.
