Postdoctoral Selection Committee
The Postdoc Selection Committee reviews applications for
postdoctoral fellowships at DIMACS, chooses those to whom offers will
be made, and arranges that each postdoc at DIMACS will have a suitable
mentor.

Projects Committee
The Projects Committee reviews proposals for special focus
activities, workshops, and grant-funded research activitis that might
be sponsored by DIMACS. It is charged with soliciting such proposals
from the DIMACS members and from the community outside of DIMACS. It
develops topics and interacts with possible organizers. The committee
recommends special focus topics and workshop topics to the Director
and the Executive Committee for approval. It advises the Director of
the acceptability of grant proposal topics.

Education Committee
The Education Committee reviews proposals for
special educational activities and grant-funded educational activities
that might be sponsored by DIMACS. It is also charged with soliciting
such proposals from the DIMACS members and from the community outside
of DIMACS. The committee recommends special educational topics to the
Director and the Executive Committee for approval. It advises the
Director of the acceptability of grant proposal topics.

Graduate Student Selection Committee
The Graduate Student Selection Committee reviews
applications for visits to DIMACS by graduate students from other
institutions, other than those who designate an interest in a special
focus or special project area. Students with interests in a special
focus or project area will have their applications reviewed by the
special project committee for that special focus or project. The
committee chooses those to whom offers will be made, allocates funds
for the visit, after being given an annual budget by the Director, and
arranges that each graduate student visit funded through its action
will have a suitable mentor.

Visitor Committee
The Visitor Committee reviews proposals for visits to
DIMACS. These proposals come from DIMACS members or from visitors
themselves. It approves or disapproves of a visitor request and
allocates funds for the visit, after being given an annual budget by
the Director.

Computing Equipment Committee
The Computing Equipment Committee reviews DIMACS computing (and
other) equipment, recomends priorities for future equipment purchases,
advises the Director about equipment purchases, assists with equipment
purchase proposals, and advises the Director and Executive Committee
on policy about access to equipment and about staffing issues related
to equipment.

Budget Committee
The Budget Committee is given complete access to all
budgetary information at the Center, and serves in an advisory role to
the management of DIMACS.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Committee
The REU Committee consists of all mentors in the REU
program and other individuals who are appointed by the Director. The
Committee selects the students who participate in the REU program,
making sure each such student has a mentor, and organizes the running
of that program.
