FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers)

What is DIMACS?
DIMACS is the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science. It is an NSF funded Science and Technology Center and one of New Jersey's Advance Technology Centers. The NSF website describes the overall Science and Technology Center program.

How to Contact DIMACS?
Take a look at the information on Contacting the Center.

Is this IMACS?
Sometimes we get queries about IMACS. That would be the International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, a project that is also at Rutgers but is not affiliated with DIMACS.

Rutgers' CS, Math, and Operations Research Departments.
We collaborate with many people in these departments (in areas of discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science), but not in all matters. Queries about graduate study, positions, and other matters that are directly department matters, should be addressed to the departments themselves. Their contact information is in our Partners Page.
