Dining in New Brunswick
New Brunswick has a wide variety of dining options to fit all budgets. Many are within an easy walk of the conference venue and the Hyatt hotel.
- Workshop Dinner will be held on Monday May 23 at The Frog and The Peach. To attend, you will need to register in advance for the dinner. We will open registration in mid March 2022. For directions see map. Walking from the Hyatt, you will go left on Neilson St and then left on Hiram Square. You should arrive in 5 minutes or less.
- Dining options: Here is a list of some dinner options near the Hyatt (and two near the Rutgers Inn). If you are staying at the Rutgers University Inn, there are few dining options near the Inn. Your best bet is to find something in near the MIP venue (or elsewhere in New Brunswick) before returning to the Inn.
- Lunch options: Here is a list of quickish lunch options near the MIP lecture hall. Here's a different view of lunch options grouped by location, with an associated map:

Other Lodging Options
The Rutgers Inn and Conference Center is located on the Douglass Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. It is a nice lower-priced option and the only hotel on the Rutgers campus. It is roughly two miles from the conference location and is accessible via the Rutgers’ campus buses, which are free but may be infrequent during the summer and other breaks. Parking at the Rutgers Inn is free and the nightly rate is $99/night plus tax. (Please note, however, that the Rutgers Inn is small and books quickly.)
The Heldrich Inn and Conference Center is the only other hotel in downtown New Brunswick that is an easy walk to the conference venue. It is an upscale hotel that is priced accordingly.
There are many hotels that are just a short drive from the conference venue that you can explore online. Rutgers has arranged a service agreement for several local hotels. When you book your reservation through this service, you may receive discounted rates. These listings are provided as a convenience to visitors and should not be considered an endorsement of any hotel by Rutgers University.
